Mark Steven "Red Beard" Burd, also known as Deadman 5000 or mrkymrk5K, is a man who never stops creating. Whether it's music, fiction, sketching, or defecation... the man is always producing something.
Deadman 5000 has just retired as the lead singer of the Fort Lauderdale based heavy metal quintet called BATTLE AXIS.
Deadman 5000 is also a Fort Lauderdale club DJ who specializes in no particular musical genres. He was the co-founder and resident DJ of the currently defunct heavy metal party called MOSH MACABRE.
He is an avid supporter of local music and can be found in many South Florida bars and clubs in attempt of bringing attention to a truly talented musical mecca.
Past bands that Deadman 5000 have been in are: Queso, Aggressive Intent, Home Brew, and Drop Silo. He has also guest vocalized with many great local bands.
Home Brew and Drop Silo both also featured Deadman 5000's brother SCOTT ADAM BURD, who is the co-writer and co-producer of these fine DDMN5K songs.
