Lyrics
PAWS is comprised of a small group of women from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes...Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creaturesIf you would like to apply to adopt any of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application at
http://www.pawsnewengland.com/online_adoption_form.htm
Our available dogs can be viewed here -PawsNewEngland.Petfinder.com
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs are vaccinated (dogs old enough receive rabies), dewormed, treated for any medical conditions, and all dogs that are old enough are spayed and neutered.

My Interests

A HUGE THANK YOU!!!PAWS would like to thank the staff at Hillcrest Animal Hospital for their continued support and incredible compassion for the dogs that they help care for. We would most especially like to thank Jill and Jamie for all the things that they do to go above and beyond for the Tipton dogs. There is absolutely no way we could save these dogs without their help. Thank you Hillcrest for all that you do!

I'd like to meet:

Meet Valentine! This labby girl is 2-3 years old and weighs 50 pounds. As you can see Valentine has had her right rear leg amputated due to a leg injury.Valentine has done amazingly well since her surgery and will get around just fine on 3 legs. Dogs adapt extremely well after losing a limb, and it doesn't usually slow them down at all! This lady LOVES other dogs and would be happy with a canine brother or sister. She is extremely sweet, a little shy at first, but is simply an amazing dog who deserves to live a life of luxury from here on out!On top of losing her leg, Valentine tested positive for heartworms - she will be finishing her treatment at our vet clinic soon, and will be good as new! Please email us for more info on Valentine - see her pictures below!

This lovely lady is Brown Sugar, a 2 year old chocolate lab. Brown Sugar loves other dogs, and adores attention. She is high energy so would do well with an active family and a fenced yard. She is bein fostered locally - contact us to learn more about her!

IT'S CONNIES TURN FOR A HOME!!!! IF YOU'RE ACTIVE AND WANT A PARTNER, THIS IS YOUR GIRL!!!! Connie is a 38 pound bully breed mix..This girl loves attention! She is in tune with everything going on around her and appears to be a very smart girl. If you want a dog who is incredibly athletic, Connie is your girl. This dog, no lie, can literally jump five feet straight in the area. The vet techs thinks she does it occasionally just because she is bored and it make them bust out laughing when they look at the window and see Connie's little head popping from a five feet brick fence.Obviously, this little girl should not be trusted in a fenced in yard left alone, but would just make the greatest house dog. She would do best in a home without other dogs.

Music:

Sally and Princess - Sally is Princess' Mom, and these 2 girls have lived their whole lives outside on chains. Sally is only 2-3 years old and is a beagle mix - She weighs 25-30 pounds. Princess is a golden retriver/beagle mix, and is only 1 year old and weighs 30 pounds. Princess is extremely attached to her Mom Sally and looks to her when she is nervous or afraid. We would love to find them a home together, but will separate them if no one steps forward to give them both a wonderful home. Please contact us if you are interested in them!
