Heylo! My name is Elena! I'm 20 years old. I'm in college studying to become a Film Director and Screenwriter. I am currently working on a list of projects which include a comic series and a script. Writing is my life! I can't go a day without jotting something down. I watch a LOT of movies, go figure! My favorite genre of film that I not only love to watch but love to write is Horror and Dark Comedy! I am a lover of Dark Comedy. I also love Family Drama. If you mix Family Drama/Insane Romantic Relationships with Dark Comedy/Horror, you have officially drawn me in. I am preparing myself to become a Dark Comedy writer, as well as writing about the unusual, eccentric strange side of life.
My inspirations come from all over. I look around and I see things that other people wouldn't in everyday objects. The people that have inspired my style of writing and creativity are:
Mark Hamill
Arleen Sorkin
Jennifer Tilly (actress)
Brad Dourif(actor)
Crispin Glover (actor/director/writer)
The Dresden Dolls(band)
Don Mancini (writer/director)
Paul Dini (comic genius/writer)
Lucky Mckee (writer/director)
and many more...(This section will be updated soon)I also have a love for anything and everything supernatural, paranormal, abnormal, and eccentric. What can I say? I love the odd side of life! I adore vintage collages and love making them just as much as I love writing!
I'm a huge fan of the Chucky/Child's Play series and Joker and Harley Quinn. I enjoy any movies about killer dolls, psychopathic/insane clowns, homicidal maniacs, insane romantic relationships, Asylum's, deranged psychopathic superhuman's, insane families, living inanimate objects, taxidermy, very high pitched and distinct voices and the super strange and unusual.I love to observe unconventional and insane relationships within films, this is definitely why I am a huge fan of Chucky and Tiffany and the Joker and Harley Quinn as couples. The minds of criminals, homicidal maniacs, insane and twisted couples, and those whom have different sides and/or other hidden personalities within and beyond themselves catch my interest. The psychology of it facinates me. I merely am an observer of the darker more unconventional side of life. The villains in comics, movies, tv, etc. have, in my opinion, more interesting personalities than heros. I think it's good to learn about the things in life that either scare us or dwell within the darker side of life so that we have knowledge on how to defeat the dark things and experiences and give ourselves the strength to grow into more stronger individuals . Spiritually, to me it makes sense. It is also EXTREMELY important that while you observe, you DO NOT absorb negative energy in the process. One of my favorite quotes is Observe the dark realm, but be not of it. I also believe that this quote from Crispin Glover is an excellent example of this:
"But there's a difference between having artistic interests and being psychotic. That's more than a fine line of differentiation, and I do see that a bit too much."-Crispin Hellion Glover
What can I say? I'm Eccentric.
