Born and raised in JaMaica Queens [oldest of 5 ] a twin whose parents were singers and musicians and whose entire family came out of a strong church background. Hardwork and Loyalty was taught thru out his life and nothing came easy but it was new to him. Most of his early life spent between Far rockaway queens and hollis queens ny. "POPs broke out on us as kids so we looked at our biggest influences to escape the streets and that was the church". If u meet jimi then u can feel and see it in his demeanor and thats what has kept him all these years. "I never expected to be a Music producer cuz all my family were doing it and i liked the simple life , never would have thought i'd be jimi kendrix and honestly titles dont move me or make me feel any diffrent. IF u ask him whats the best part of his young career and he'll quickly tell u... " Being able to help his family get a step further outta the streets and violence going on around us". Before he had any name or credits jimi was well known in the 'streets' but not for what others might think. "when i got on my own and i needed work to pay my rent i use to sell beats to the local rappers and hustlers who wanted to rap, after a while i really got an idea what a 'HusTlers Spirit' was and it didnt just have to be illegal but i had to respect it". And its from the "streets that jimi was discovered and made his way to the mainstream. Not only does he produce music but he's also a professional Drummer who along with his brothers regularly travel doing shows for recording artists as well as travel overseas if asked. "Though its all new to me and i havent been in the business long i still dont see myself as an "industry person" and he's cool wit that. " I go to sessions,industry events and a&r meetings i just dont like the politics that comes with it , Im from the bottom and im starting to see light but just like anyone else i can be back on the bottom". Now back on pace after a small break from doing inhouse at INC records past few years jimi's set his bar even higher now, from producer to CeO of his own Production/ConsulTing CO. FAMILY BIZNESS MUZIK INC. with projects already in works as well as artists being developed and signed as we speak. "One of my dream jobs i wish i could have would be as an "A&R", I Have the Resume as well as a good Name in the Business and people listen and let me do my job to make Artists Hot but sometimes thats still not Enough, OH WELL LABELS LOSS! ". So until then jimi's cool building what he Created.
