VERSE

Verse is a humble hard working MC that was inspired by poetry and writing poems in the class. By the time the introduction of the artform of rap was kind enough to embrace this young guys life, it changed his life. This art form gave him an opportunity to express his self in a creative way just for the personal gratification of hearing the english vocabulary be manipulated in such a manner it increase to not just mere words, but more of an mental stimulation attached to developing a gift like that. Add it with being anti-social the outcome could give of the perception of insecurity. This gift was made evident by anybody who listens to him, he had something, with the inspiration of watching the artist before him at the tender age of 12, and he knew this is what he wanted to do. He started by mesmerizing his friends and older people in the neighborhood and then slowly creating a reputation for the best improvisation skill you will ever hear. The gift manifest to his high school REPORTORY TOWN HALL COMPANY. Everyone from the students to the teachers, principle and even his mother called this young man...VERSE!! At this time the artform of battling was slowly emerging in this young mans life and when he moved to Harlem for 1 year it took a dramatic turn. People would talk and spread rumors of his ability and it would bring on competition after competition. Verse never looked at it as competition; he just wanted people to hear he was good. A lot of times he was able to be victorious because the young rappers at the time exaggerated their realities in the battle trying to appear relevant and verse would capitalize of the clever wordplay, improvisation skills and the fact that they were lying.Soon after labels was hearing about this guy and P-DIDDY wanted him. One of his producers from the “Hitmen” at that time name YOGI befriended the young dude. Considering this guys father wasn’t around for that brief time, YOGI stregically played the older brother role, so it wasn’t hard for him to convince verse and his mother who was watching his career at the time to sign to BIGTHINGS Production Company. Verse landed in a group (one day you will get the full story on that at vh1's driven, mtv or bet) and wasn’t long before things fell apart.With the combination of the mental depression of being in a horrible contract that consist of NOOOOOOOOOOOO publishing and being censored as an artist was a turning point at Bad Boy for Verse. The inspiration of the HIPHOP PROJECT (go to hip hop project.com) making verse comfortable and embracing self awareness, learning about the music business, and making music from your experience, heart and natural relevance it took a tole on verse mind and soul. He began to sub-consciously rebel against his so-called career as a Bad Boy artist. It was no longer about the music, it was more about verse staying in his place, making other people comfortable because they were intimidated by the potential his ability. After legal issues, he finally was able to get the label.A long story short he has been focusing on the most important part of his career the MUSIC!!!!!
