Minister Timothy White Jr.
On November 28, 1981, Mr. Timothy White Sr. and his wife Theresa became the earthly parents of a divinely sent child that many have come to know as a raging fireball determined to spread the word of God by any means necessary. His radical style of praise and masterful enthusiasm for worshipping God are characteristics synonymous with this young warrior.
Minister Timothy White Jr. acknowledged his call to the ministry early in life, and preached his first sermon in August of 1996 at Joshua Baptist Church, where his grandfather, Rev. C.L. White is Pastor. He received his official cleric license in April of 1997 while still a High School student. He was educated in the Chicago Public School system, graduating from John Marshall Metropolitan High School in June of 2000. He then went on to Malcolm X College and Chicago State University to Study Business Administration, and also became a licensed insurance producer after attending Macomb Realty School.
He is a devout soldier whose highly energetic and infectious style of ministry spans throughout the Midwest not just the city of Chicago. He has conducted multiple youth conferences highlighting the need for the young to seek Christ and work in His vineyard and to bridge the gap between denominations. Minister White believes in not being bound by denomination, he is one we truly call “servant”. He has also led numerous revivals, spearheaded the formation of street ministries in numerous communities on Chicago’s West Side, spread the good news at homeless shelters as well as the message of hope and salvation to prisoners at the Cook County Detention Center.
In addition to Minister White’s credits as an anointed preacher of the living word, he is also an immensely gifted singer/songwriter. He has traveled extensively with his music ministry and his services as a worship leader are well likened to those of Donnie McClurkin, Darryl Coley, Bishop Paul S. Morton and others. He has shared the stage with such notables as Karen Clark-Sheard, Kim Burrell, DeAndre Patterson, and Donald Lawrence; he has written and performed with renowned Recording Artists Evangelist Angela Spivey, Jevon Brock and Restoration of Milwaukee WI, Paul Turner and Creation Ministries as well as Mark Caston and Just for Christ, he also served as a background vocalist for Leanne Faine.
Minister White currently holds the positions of Youth Minister and Minister of Music for New Holy Temple, under the leadership of Rev. Benny B. Smothers. He has held this position for more than 4 years, and has been a beacon of light for the entire family of New Holy Temple. He holds a special place in his heart for Pastor and the late “Mother Smothers” whose wisdom and vision have helped him take his ministry to another level and boldly declaring that with the help of God “the best is yet to come”! He is often heard reciting the motto held by “The Temple”, which is:
