-------------------------------------
It was back in summer 2006, when three ordinary
guys, knowing each other for ages already, came
to visit the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany.
Having wandered around on the festival and noticing
the sheer quantity of people wearing uniforms
bearing the so-called "austrian" camouflage pattern,
the three came to the conclusion that within the
EBM/Industrial-scene something had to happen
concerning the infiltration of the basically apolitical
scene by uniformed packs of right-wing mossbacks.
On the very same evening, while attending an
S.I.T.D. concert, the three unanimously agreed
to attempt a musical career, remaining true to
the fundamentals of their idea.
Thus, as a pun on the right-wing politics and the
so-called Axis of WW2, phaxenmaechte were born.
Now, about half a year later, phaxenmaechte is
finally gaining momentum when it comes to the
composing and mastering of their songs.
However, their mind-spring has so far not yet
attracted the attention of a broader public, and so
the 'maechte' are still looking for some support
by their friends.
Go out and spread our words!
(As a help for our non-German speaking listeners, here the explanation of the band's name phaxenmaechte:'Achsenmaechte', known to the native English speaker as the 'axis', originally described the allied German, Italian and Japanese governments during WW2.'Faxen machen' means to muck around, especially to make silly faces.Combine the two, and you probably know WHY the band is called that way.)
