BSC aims to help stop the spread of HIV&AIDS, by serving as a platform for honest discussion about prevention, stigma, and personal responsibility. BSC is committed to encouraging artistic freedom, expression, and creativity in members of the arts, and same gender loving communities.BSC was founded in the spring of 2006 by Monte J Wolfe, Erik Chambers, and Tim'm T. West, all of whom are black same gender loving, HIV positive artists.
With its base in Washington DC, BSC was created initially to give voice and bring light to the lives of same gender loving black men & women, HIV positive individuals, as well as members & supporters of the performing artist community.
