About Me

so i took a test to tell me what kind of sense of humor i have. the results..................................................... ....... ..........................You'll crack on anything, and you're often witty, even caustic, about it.Therefore, your sense of humor is polarizing. You're transgressive, and you've got a seriously sharp 'edge'--maybe too much for some folks. If they get you, people think you're one of the funniest (and smartest) people in the world. If they don't, they think you're an ass. Whatever, right? While some might question your judgement, your comic intellect is unquestionably respected.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

for some reason a bjork video is in this box. i've emailed the myspace folks several times and get ignored. bjork's rad, just not supposed to be there. at least it's a good song. and meeting her would be awesome, i guess.

Music:

the video and song are just too damn good, not to mention sum up my past year pretty well.

Movies:

miller's crossing, godfather 1&2, children of men, seven, happiness, crumb, documentaries in general, amelie, das boot, dancer in the dark,

Television:

there are two types of people, those that believe the wire is the best show ever made and those that haven't watched it.

Books:

johnny got his gun, push, rivethead, manufacturing consent, imperial life in the emerald city, books by jonathan kozol (mostly about how children get screwed over by inequities in education), last man standing, in search of respect (awesome book about an anthropologist spending five years hanging out with crack dealers in new york), in all honesty the dark tower series was really good. in general books about propaganda, media analysis, social sciences, anthropology, buddhism (by no means am i religious), philosophy, "politics" (i hate that word), sci fi, etc, etc, etc. lots and lots of magazines, such as, the new yorker, wired, rolling stone, the progressive, z, vanity fair, harper's, mother jones, tricycle,

Heroes:

my mom, enough that i got a mom/heart tattoo for mother's day several years ago. the small circle of people i still keep in contact with (although it's pretty intemitent these days) and a couple more that slipped away.

My Blog
