About Me

BLOODSESSIONS has been around in the loud section of the music market for quite some time. Both their first demo "Brutal Reality Check" (1996) and the full blown album "Redemption Denied" (1998) were well received with promising reviews, resulting in a couple of hundreds of shows in the Netherlands and Czech Republic. After this promising start, however, the band disappeared from the scene for several years. In the winter of 2005, founding members Laco (drums) and Maarten (vocals, guitars) decided to blow some new life in and after trying out different promising musicians, they finally found Erik (bass) and Max (lead guitar) to complete the line-up. With all their combined experience they entered the studio in the summer of 2006 and started recording their latest album "Conflicts of Interest". Being very aware of the quality and diversity around in the music industry these days, BLOODSESSIONS has spent much time perfecting and polishing their album, which eventually led to a result that is hard not to notice: here's a fresh new album with another approach to metal music, which at times will remind you of many other things you've heard, but at the same time also leave you with a feeling that this is something different all together. At times the music will grab you by the throat with its raw pounding energy, just to leave you puzzled with a slow or melodic break the next minute. BLOODSESSIONS have given great attention to the production of "Conflicts of Interest", which shows in the mesmerizing sound samples that are used in some of the songs in a way that will leave you uncomfortable and wondering. BLOODSESSIONS return with a vengeance!
