The Trousers

Hungarian rock and roll band THE TROUSERS was formed in 2004 in Budapest . Their music is inspired by 60-70’s rock and soul music & contemporary guitarbands from melodic DOVES to scandinavian, US and australian garage-rock bands like HELLACOPTERS, B.R.M.C. or JET
In 2005 the band began to play gigs around Budapest clubscene alongside with some fellow bands like AMBER SMITH, EZ BASIC, MOOG, SUPERSONIC, etc. and recorded a demo with 3 songs to enter Sziget Festival

The Trousers - In another time
The following year THE TROUSERS played several gigs for example at ALAN McGEE’s (UK, Poptones) Death Disco Budapest, with HEAVEN STREET SEVEN at famous JATE Klub, Szeged, at Beach House, Siófok or at Sziget Festival. Beside 3 magazin features (Wan2, Zenész and PEP!) the band is featuring on a promotional hungarian indie collection cd called "Danube Disco" with bands like NEO, AMBER SMITH, EZ BASIC or THE MOOG.
The Trousers - "Blood for you"
The first album, PLANETARY PROCESS is under construction, the basics of the songs have already recorded. First an EP came out in march called DIVE INSANE, and we are planning to finish the album until the end of summer with producer PETER KOVARY of NEO. In july the band played on MELT!FESTIVAL’s Coca Cola Soundwave Tent, on the same stage as The Horrors and Shitdisco, where Ambi was performing on the keyboards for the first time.

Meanwhile on the 30th of july "BLOOD FOR YOU" came our on a compilation called "Riot on Sunset vol 5" in Hollywood, CA. At the begining of november the song reached Number 1 position at Hungary’s famous PETOFI RADIO. We got a video shot for the song in a few weeks, and the album is to be realesed until the begining of December. We closed the year with a an album release concert with our fellas SUPERNEM. From the middle of january, 2008 the video for "BLOOD FOR YOU" can be seen on MTV Hungary, also on YouTube. Before the forthcoming album at the end of January we release our first double A side single: "LOST IN SOMEONE/BLOOD FOR YOU" featuring a new song, the remix of "LOST IN SOMEONE" and the video. In March Ákos Örményi replaced former bass player Z. Vekerdi.
