I was the leader of a Middle Eastern terrorist group believed to be responsible for hundreds of American deaths. In time, however, I grew disillusioned with violent methods and sought to legitimize my group and pursue my ends through politics.Some of my comrades opposed this change. Abu Fayed, a former lieutenant, launched a series of devastating attacks on American cities and set me up as the one responsible. After Jack Bauer learned the truth, he managed to rescue me before my Los Angeles safehouse was destroyed in a U.S. military strike.Bauer and I cooperated to stop a suicide bomber on the Los Angeles Metro. I was then offered a full pardon for all past crimes by President Wayne Palmer, under the condition that I continue to help stop Fayed and that I bring myself and all other affiliated organizations to peace talks.I was transported to the secret and supposedly well-guarded bunker of the President and his administration. At the behest of President Palmer, I was eventually encouraged to deliver a televised statement calling on the nation's Muslim community for assistance in stopping further terrorist attacks.As I was preparing to rehearse my speech and concur with the teleprompter, I noticed a liquid draining from the podium. Following the trail, I realized it was a bomb and yelled a warning to everyone in the room. I lept off the podium, shielding the President's body with my own a split second before the bomb detonated. Because I was clearly within 10 feet of the bomb, I was killed in the explosion. As to be expected, the current leadership is using me as a scapegoat in this assassination plot.
