Robyn is an emerging choreographer living and working in Miami, Fl. She is a bachelor’s candidate at Florida International University. Robyn’s work takes real life situations, emotions, and stories and abstracts them. If everybody’s got a story, then so does every movement. She has had the pleasure of working with companies such as Liz Lermans Dance Exchange, Karen Peterson and dancers, Dance Theater of Santa Fe, and TranZenDance.Robyn has had the great opportunity of having her work seen in Karen Peterson’s 2006 Emerging Choreographers Series. In October 2006 she premiered the work “shedding…(in progress)” in a shared performance with Demetrius Klein and Dancers. Sharon McDaniel of the Palm Beach Post in a review about shedding said, “with minimal materials, the 24 year old probed the psyche in an engrossing work.”
