The Bennett/Berner Project

These two veteran, New York based, musician/writers first hooked up in 1998 performing together in a local band where a strong friendship and mutual respect quickly formed. .Both spent years on the New York City, and Long Island, original and cover band circuit sharing bills with numerous touring and recording acts. Tired of playing covers or backing up other song writers, both felt it was time to create an outlet for their own music. Both feel through years of band experiences and politics they have learned how to communicate with working partners and to be more open to others ideas in the creative process. The outcome is two talented musicians with different tastes morphing their ideas to create strong songs, covering many styles.While Irv Berner comes from the roots-rock arena, John has always leaned more towards commercial rock/pop, and even dance music.Filling out the roster for their band and recording/writing team is New York native Drew Hill. Drew plays Keyboards, Guitar and Sings Lead and harmonies on most of these recordings. Drew leads the renowned Beatle Tribute band, Liverpool who recently performed at the east Coast Beatlefest in New Jersey.
