JAMALSKI GOT "HAPPY FEET.".
Jamalski has a track on the sound track for Warner Bros. animation film Happy Feet. Jamalski originally did the ragamuffin/hiphop track with the Brand New Heavies. You can hear the track on one of the trailers. Happy Feet hits the theaters November 17, 2006.

One word describes Jamalski lyrics -- SEARING! Jamalski is the undisputed International King (US, Europe & Japan) of Underground Ghetto Muzik period. No one can test! No disputes!! The former member of BDP krew is one of the pioneers in reggae/dancehall/hiphop genre,
'longside Shinehead, Fatboys and Mikey "Mack Daddy" Jarrett who helped take raggamuffin-hipphop from the underground to the mainstream. The acid tongue spitter will tell you that he is a MC and not a rapper. Jamalski lives and breathes true "elements" of hiphop culture. Back in 1990 as a young tagging and sk8boarding youth on the Island of Manhattan, Jamalski got his first major ragamuffin-hiphop hit 'Jump Spread Out'. This tune ripped the streets and clubs. 'Jump Spread Out' success lead to the release of the full-length "Rough Neck Reality" CD on Colombia/Sony Records in 1993. "Rough Neck Reality" is a timeless body of work that is still cutting edge.
Jamalski currently lives in Paris where he can be found at the center of the muzik underground scenes of hiphop, reggae and jungle.
Spring Fest '91 flyer is a concert Jamekee/D.I.A. booked and promoted at Roy Wilkins Park in Jamaica, Queens, Spring 1991. The lineup included Brand Nubian, Junior "Cabin Cabin" Demus, Jamalski and Worl-A-Girl krew Charmaine Hamilton, Lady English and Miss Linda.

Weapons Of Mass Persuasion is a Metal/Thrash/Alternative krew from Richland, Washington, in the North West USA. Oct. 22, 2006, Weapons Of Mass Persuasion played the second round of Bodog Battle Of The Bands concert that was held at Studio 7 in Seattle, WA. The word is W.O.M.P. churned out a bad-ass set but they came up short. Despite not winning the third round of the event they exploited the opportunity for all it had to offer. Weapons Of Mass Persuasion got interviewed by Seattle's Andy Guyer form 104.9 FM for the Funky Monkey show. W.O.M.P. also got interviewed by Vic Mendoza for krunchradio.com for Sirius radio.

LONE RANGER --

D.I.A. would like to introduce and reintroduce the legendary Studio One deejay Lone Ranger to the massives. Lone Ranger is one of those reggae/dancehall originals that is ranked up there with the likes of Yellowman, Brigadier Jerry, Dillinger and so on. Lone Ranger is still mashing up the mic. He is currently on tour in Europe. Tour dates have Lone Ranger playing multiple gigs in Italy, France, Norway and Germany on this trip. D.I.A. CALLED HOMOPHOBIC BY A MYSPACE MEMBER:
For the masses who didn't know, reggae muzik has been at the center of sometimes a heated war with the gay community for 15 plus years. This as a result of mainly Shabba Ranks and Buju Banton's anti-gay lyrics. It appears gay activists targeted these two prominent dancehall icons (because they were international celebs in the spotlight), to help bring attention to the gay rights agenda. These artists' CD's were pulled from shelves, tours were canceled and concerts were protested. Seems a bit hypocritical because hiphop artists always spit anti-gay lyrics. And the gay community does dance to hot dancehall songs and even recite the "Boom Bye-Bye" type lyrics at least in the clubs.
The gay community has most Jamaicans and Rastas as hating gays. As one "friend" from the south pointed out, "Rastafarian do not believe in homosexuality because of spiritual reasons, not hate reasons." Most Jamaicans feel that way also.
By no means is D.I.A. in agreement with anti-gay lyrics or gay bashing. That crap is a bunch of bull. But despite the anti-gay feelings dancehall artists may have, to symbolically "lick shot" does not mean their fans are going out and doing just that. Symbolically "bussin' shot" is a salute for most parts and was a part of the reggae or dancehall culture long before the gay controversey came to the forefront. And for some reason the gun is etched deep into the Jamaican culture. Keeping in mind that there are always horrible hate crimes against people because of their race and sexual preference, to borrow a word from Mike Tyson, it is "ludicrous" to think dancehall fans are going to blatantly go out and physically attack gays. John Wayne probably fired more gun shots than anyone in entertainment art. His fans didn't go out to wage war and gun battles against folks.
Now, D.I.A. was called homophobic because the word "fag" was use in a anti-porn hacking related bulletin that was released Oct. 25, 2006, when D.I.A. Records' account was commandeered to send lewd subjects and porn-related links to folks in our friends' pool. From a social standpoint D.I.A.'s Global Rock motto is: "...It's about RHYTHM, CULTURE, RESPECT & TOTAL INCLUSION (for most parts). There is no RACE, CLASS, AGE or GENDER..." While D.I.A. does not support issues like gay marriage, we are extremely tolerant to everyone. And even if we are associated with any recording artists who spit anti-gay lyrics, it is their Constitutional Right to do so under FREE SPEECH. It doesn't mean we are in agreement with their view points. This goes for any subject matter. And D.I.A. does not expect associated artists to agree with our view points either.
The main purpose of anti-porn hacking bulletin was to let "friends" know D.I.A. would never resort to a demeaning campaigns like that to gain attention. As a matter of fact we made light of the situation although very serious. We thought hacking D.I.A. Records' Myspace account was one of a few cases on the network. But the overwhelming responses to the matter revealed hordes of victims whose accounts (some family pages) were hacked into and used to send lewd materials via bulletins to their friends' pool. Serious violation!!
The woman who called D.I.A. homophobic and deleted our friendship has her right to do so. She posted a response to the blog version of the bulletin but that was deleted somehow. She was asked to repost but did not. However, she did post a response to D.I.A. comment on her page. That post was deleted. Her comment that was posted Oct. 26, 2006, at 10:14 A.M. is still up on D.I.A.'s profile. Freedom of Speech in full effect whether in agreement or not!! The lady probably expected D.I.A. to apologize for using the "fag' word but as was conveyed to her -- "HEAVEN'S NO." Naw bow!! Man she could go have a "coke and a smile" as Richard Pryor once relayed to Bill Cosby. Her time could have been spent writing a letter of protest to the Congressman who violated the male page who was a minor. (She said she did???) And presently we hope she did write a letter to the prominent church leader from Denver who is in the midst of a controversy for gay marriage. Behind the scenes this church leader is gay but upfront he was leading the charge against gay marriage. Such double standards. It seems being a double standard is the order of the day. WTF??????
