About Me
I've been having a ball as a singer/songwriter for ooh.. about 10 years now.. doesn't time fly! I've been lucky enough to have toured, recorded and performed on TV with a vast array of artists including Basement Jaxx, Texas, St Etienne, Belinda Carlisle, Altered Images, Emma Bunton, Westlife, Lemar, Chemical Brothers, Kim Wilde, Sam Brown, Chris Difford, Mica Paris, Kelly Clarkson, Shayne Ward, Dinah Carroll, Betty Boo, Jewel, Jamelia... and several more!I served my apprenticeship in singing BVs, hardcore rock n roll partying, and touring the world a few times with the wonderful St Etienne. My vocals are on several of their albums, EPs and B sides. Boy, those guys know how to have a good time! I couldn't have wished for a better band to get me started in this industry. What a wonderful, hilarious few years we had.. so many great memories, and too many dreadful hangovers!I had an absolute blast touring with Belinda Carlisle on various Here & Now tours sharing the stage with loads of the 80's bands I'd bopped away to during my teenage years, and supporting Cher across Europe. My year of touring with Texas was amazing, the essence of which has been captured on the "Texas Paris" DVD where you can see me shaking my thang and splitting my trousers up the bum . Hmm... glamorous. I went on the road with Marti Pellow on his "Smile" tour and sang on his album "Between the Covers". I then hooked up with Clare Grogan from Altered Images for more Here and Now tours and happy times - we still do the odd gig here and there. (Notice a Scottish theme running through this?!)Before temporarily (I hope!) giving up life on the road to become a mummy, I had the time of my life working with Basement Jaxx on the Kish Kash Tour 2003 - 2004. I'm truly honoured to have been part of such an awesome live show - Felix & Simon are the most inspirational creative geniuses who gave me the opportunity to do things I never thought I'd do infront of thousands of people! The rest of the guys in the band and crew are some of the loveliest people I've ever met and worked with. I was proud to be featured on their Singles DVD performing Kish Kash live, and my vocals were used on the single "You Don't Know Me" featuring Lisa Kekaula.As for life post-baby, I've been doing some TV stuff with various artists and lots of gigs that don't take me too far from home. I'm currently singing backing vocals for Perfect Pete (last year's most deserving Big Brother winner). I have recently been getting the creative juices flowing again by writing and recording with the high energy rock/dance duo Sonic Hub, and 21st century 2Tone house skankstaz, Housebreakerz.
