About Me

In no particular order...fashion, music, producer chick, wine connoisseur, professional sleeper, exercise, big words, fine dining, a good rock show, quality time, animals, 90's grunge, Chuck Taylors, football season (GO SEAHAWKS), 90210 reruns, Ballard, blasting Springsteen on my car stereo (I never get tired of it!), road trips, rockin' out, Georgetown, muscle cars, radio, Layne Staley Fund, being a dork sometimes, and always achieving greatness. More to come!

My Interests

People, Music, Learning, Psychology/Sociology, Seattle, Love, Friends, Travel, Self-Empowerment, Personal Enlightenment, Setting Goals and Accomplishing Them, The Columbia River Gorge, Converse All-Stars, Speaking Spanish, Trying New Things, My Kitty and the Seattle Mariners (hellllooo Jeremy Reed!)

I'd like to meet:

My match.

Music:

I love music. Its a huge part of my life... listening to it, going to shows, playing guitar/jamming with friends...I love it all. I've been playing guitar for 12 years and I just recently bought a bass and am learning to play that. I also play flute and piano. From A-Z, my faves are: Alice in Chains, Beatles, Chris Cornell, Death Cab, Eagles, Foo Fighters, Green River, Hole (I know...I know please keep your comments to yourself), Indigo Girls, "Jerry...Jerry...Jerry!", Kravitz, Lanegan, Mudhoney, Nirvana (especially the rare stuff), Ozzy, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, Rush, Springsteen, Tool, U2, Van Halen, Who, Young (Neil), Zwan. Other faves include; Eric Clapton, Mad Season, Tracy Chapman, Heart, 50 Cent, Ramones, Social D, Bob Dylan, Curtis Mayfield, Led Zeppelin, Jewel (the first 3 albums), Ray Charles, Pink Floyd, The Shins, Jimmy Cliff, Elliott Smith, Snoop Dogg, Bob Marley, ZZ Top (even though they are total assholes when you meet them in person), They Might Be Giants, and Metallica. The best shows to see live (in order) are: PAUL McCARTNEY, ACDC, ALICE IN CHAINS, TOOL, PEARL JAM, RUSH, NEIL YOUNG, METALLICA, SPRINGSTEEN, AUDIOSLAVE (RIP), VAN HALEN, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and MUDHONEY! Also, if I never hear another Stone Temple Pilots song for the rest of my life, I will be okay with that. Jazz and Blues are good, country can be tolerated, but I was born to rock and roll.

Movies:

Woody Allen, Spike Lee and Cameron Crowe are my all-time favorites. I also can't get enough of; St. Elmo's Fire, Breakfast Club, Anything Else, Annie Hall, Manhattan, Almost Famous, Singles, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Magnolia, Man on the Moon, American Beauty, Remember The Titans, RENT, Dazed and Confused, Malcom X and Grease. I also love Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, and I think that Will Ferrell is currently the funniest actor in showbiz. Actors that I love are Robert Deniro, Johnny Depp, Samuel L. Jackson, Drew Barrymore, Denzel Washington, and Christopher Walken (you're gonna want that cowbell!)

Television:

Saturday Night Live is the best show on television. Although Jeopardy is really good too. I'm also a big fan of Law & Order, Behind The Music, and True Hollywood Story. Also, I was recently an audience member on the David Letterman show and that was pretty cool. And hell must have officially froze over because I have ACTUALLY started watching American Idol this season! This has got to be a sign that the apocolyspse is near...

Books:

I love reading! I especially enjoy books on music and entertainment. I also enjoy Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Terry MacMillan, some Shakespeare, and various autobiographies. I love reading books on psychology and sociology, and every book that I've read from or about the beatnik era has been good including: On The Road, Off The Road, Junky, Naked Lunch and Electric Kool-aid Acid Test. Also, I just finished reading Nikki Sixx's autobiography - that book is killer!

Heroes:

My mother. She was wonderful. Truly one of the smartest, kindest and most powerful people you would ever meet. Also Oprah, Bono, Steve Slaton, Scotty Olson who has saved me more than a few times, Queen Latifah, and I find that anyone who sets righteous goals and accomplishes them, to be particularly inspiring.
