About Me

Paranaut was formed in December of 2004. Three musicians assembled with the goal of creating heavy music of the "stoner rock" and "doom metal" variety. Paranaut started playing shows in May of '05. Starting with a bang, they expanded their set and still yearned for something different... interesting. As talents, ideas, and influences melted together, a stronger desire was discovered. Quickly becoming bored with their small set, they expanded their sound and took many directions at once. Incorporating elements of progressive, experimental, noise/drone, and psychedelic music, they began to produce epic sonic experiences that are unique in nearly every performance. In early 2006, they documented their efforts to date on "The Hills Fell Silent". THFS is a fair representation of Paranaut's raw sound. It was recorded at the legendary Smegma Studio in Portland, Oregon by Mike Lastra. THFS was released on May 16th, 2006 to rave reviews (Links to reviews and interviews posted in blog section). In 2007, Paranaut is recording a new demo, and looks to release a recording and tour as may be possible. "The Hills Fell Silent" is available at:Sinuous Records - Anthem Records-or-Hellride Music- download the whole album or the individual tracks here,WJ_____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ __________ I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------
