SoL Crespo Trio

SoL Crespo integró e integra numerosas agrupaciones de jazz,rock,funk,blues,r&b,así como de música clásica y antigua, en su doble rol de pianista y cantante, tales como Jazzy Christmas(Cuarteto vocal),Camaleones-Músicos Mimetizables(Quinteto de Camára);Jazz Ladies(trío de jazz femenino),y trabaja hace años como vocalista de sesión en grabaciones profesionales y publicidades. Formó parte del grupo de Romina Vitale(artista Vip MTV latina, en 2002),junto a la cual se destacan actuaciones en Luna Park, Boca Juniors,Music Country,y Disney Channel,y la participación en sus 2 videos;de la Buenos Aires Soul Band, con presentaciones habituales en Hard Rock Caffee, y del grupo del guitarrista y leyenda del rock nacional Alambre Gonzalez. Durante 2003 y parte de 2004 integro el Staff de musicos del trío de humor Midachi, en sus más de 70 actuaciones en el Teatro Opera, estadio Luna Park, y gira que abarco repetidas veces el interior del país y Uruguay. En 2005 fue doblemente distinguida,2° premio en el concurso organizado por Metrovías "Voces del Jazz"(detrás de la multipremiada Eleonora Eubel),con un jurado compuesto de destacadas figuras del jazz local;y 3° premio en el área"Interpretación musical"en la categoría Música Urbana de los Premios Octubre, junto al jazz trio que lidera(SoL Crespo Trio) involucrada como intérprete, arregladora y autora de varios temas.Paralelamente a las actividades en el campo de la música popular,desarrolla una creciente carrera como cantante lírica,integrando primero coros profesionales de ópera(Casa de la Ópera,coro del Ciclo Jueves Ópera, Coro de Música Antigua de Radio Nacional,entre otros),y con frecuencia creciente, actuaciones solistas,en ámbitos que abarcan desde el Teatro Avenida hasta el Colon(Salón Dorado y Sala Principal),pasando por el Margarita Xirgu, Auditorio de Belgrano,San Martín,Roma, Manufactura Papelera,Museo Fernández Blanco,Colonial, Catedrales Metropolitana y de San Isidro,C.A.I,entre otros. Desde el año 1993 dicta clases de sus instrumentos en forma permanente, como docente particular y a cargo ..edras y clínicas en instituciones de enseñanza musical como la Escuela de Música Popular de Tandil,la EMU de la Plata(Escuela terciaria de jazz recientemente galardonada en Perú,que integra el IASJ,International Asociation of Schools of Jazz;en cátedras de Improvisación, Repertorio,y Técnica Vocal)y otras instituciones. En 2007 vivió en Londres,Reino Unido, donde tuvo oportunidad de tocar, cantar y dar clases (Jazz y bossa nova en FHT (Forest Hill Tavern), The Green-East Dulwich, y The Montague on the Gardens (Hotel 5 Estrellas-Russell Square/Tango y folklore argentino en Gaucho Grill-Picadilly Circus/Pianista y cantante en el Concierto “Voices for Perú” organizado por ACALASP (Association of Cultural Attachées of Latin America, Spain and Portugal) en representación de la Embajada Argentina, Bolivar Hall Auditorium-Warren Street. ............................................................ ....................................................Sol Crespo has been member of many groups of jazz, rock, funk, blues, r&b, and both classical and early music, in her double rol as a pianist and a singer, like Jazzy Christmas(vocal quartet),Jazz Ladies(all women jazz trio),and has been working for many years as a session vocalist, in professional recordings and jingles. She was member of the Romina Vitale's band(VIP artist-LatinMTV-2002),performing at Luna Park Stadium, Boca Juniors Stadium and Disney Channel, and featuring 2 video clips; of the Buenos Aires Soul Band, with frequent performances at Hard Rock Caffée, and also of guitar player Daniel”Alambre”González's band (True legend of the rock&roll scene in Argentina)During 2003 and part of 2004 she was member of the musicians staff of Midachi (Humor trio) in over 70 performances in Opera Theatre, Luna Park Stadium, and a national tour, beside several presentations in Uruguay.In 2005 she was twice distinguished,2° award at the Metrovías "Jazz Voices" Contest(following the multiprized Eleonora Eubel),and 3° award at the area “Musical interpretation”, in cathegory “Urban music” of Premios Octubre, with the Jazz Trio that she leads, involved as a performer, arranger, and composer of several songs.Paralelly at her activities as a popular musician, she pursues a growing career as an opera singer, with regular performances, at first as a member of professional choruses(Chorus of Casa de la Ópera, Ciclo Jueves Ópera choir, Choir of Early Music of Radio Nacional, among others),and lately as a soloist, in theaters and opera houses like Teatro Colón, San Martín, Avenida, Roma, Margarita Xirgu, Auditorio de Belgrano, Manufactura Papelera, Fernández Blanco Museum , Metropolitan and San Isidro Cathedrals, among others.Since 1993 she teaches piano and singing permanently, as a private teacher, and in a charge of chairs and workshops of vocal technique and improvisation, in several music schools as the Collegium Musicum(blues chair),EMU(Jazz College of La Plata City, member of IASJ, recentely awarded), School of Popular Music (Tandil),among others. In 2007 she has been living at LONDON,UK , where she has the chance to sing, play, and teach (jazz and bossa nova at FHT (Forest Hill Tavern), The Green (East Dulwich), and The Montague on the Gardens (Russell Square).
