About Me

Zach "Surreal The MC" Hennings started out DJing parties and making mix tapes for friends in the early 1990's. In February 1997, Surreal and party themed rock rap group, Noizewave released "Red Tape Bet" on cassette. Noizewave went on to release eleven projects selling over 10,000 copies regionally and opened up for many nationals such as Kottonmouth Kings, Vanilla Ice, and hip-hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang. In 2004, Surreal The MC released his first solo CD, a mix CD called "Surreallie Thiessen". Surreal has since opened for Wu-Tang's Ghostface Killah, Afroman, Tech N9ne, and many others. Currently Surreal is writing and recording music with various national and regional acts and books for two clubs in the Omaha area.
