About Me

"For me, life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer." -Arnold Schwarzenegger
My name is Paul and I am a senior at Florida State University, GO NOLES! I'm currently trying to finish my Economics major and considering a double major in Nutrition. I am also a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Delta Lambda chapter, so I guess that makes me a Pike. Not much else to tell, I was born in the Bronx, New York and my family moved down to Jacksonville, Florida when I was in the fifth grade. I am Korean, and I have a little sister named Yooni who goes to the University of Florida who I love very much along with my parents. I am an aspiring bodybuilder as well as certified personal trainer, my first show is October 6th, the NPC Southeastern USA, a national qualifier, and I hope to compete at NPC Nationals. My dream is to become the first Korean-American IFBB pro bodybuilder in America someday, in my late twenties hopefully, but I am taking things one step at a time. I've got a long road ahead of me. Right now I am preparing for the NPC Southeastern USA, thinking of nothing else but bringing the best package I can onstage and hopefully taking the overall. In my spare time I like to train in mixed martial arts, practice kendo, play sports, read, play the guitar, and enjoy spending time with friends and the people I love. I made this MySpace for the purpose of keeping in touch with old friends, and establishing a network in the bodybuilding and fitness community to further my goals and get my name out there. Thank you for your support and for checking out my page.

My Interests

college, sports (soccer, baseball, football, basketball), cars, mma fighting, kendo, reading, 2D/3D fighting games, playing guitar, watching Frisky Dingo on Adult Swim, and oh yeah bodybuilding

I'd like to meet:

People in or related to the bodybuilding, mixed martial arts, fitness and entertainment industry. If you are a bodybuilding/fitness competitor, judge, promoter, athlete, athletic trainer, supplement company brand rep, potential client for personal training, musclemag writer/editor/publisher, nutritionist, possible sponsor, gym owner, model, actor, photographer or producer, I'd like to meet you.

Music:

I like music from all walks of life... something for every mood.

Movies:

Sandlot. 300. Lion King. Equilibrium. Redline. Gladiator. The Last Samurai. Fearless. Harsh Times. A Man Apart. Black Hawk Down. Saving Private Ryan. Remember The Titans. Scarface. Cinderella Man. Shawshank Redemption. Better Luck Tomorrow. Madagascar. Just Friends. Breakin'. Grandma's Boy. Spider-Man. Casino Royale (I'm a James Bond fanatic, but that is my favorite one). Matrix. Rocky. Super Troopers. Rocky. Big Fish. Walking Tall. 8 Mile. The Rundown. Enter The Dragon. Borat. The Notebook. Million Dollar Baby. Lord of the Rings. Fight Club. Undisputed II. The Notebook. Forrest Gump. Pumping Iron. Predator, Commando, and all the other Arnold movies. I'm always down to watch any martial arts/kung fu flicks and Disney movies too.

Television:

I don't watch much TV, but I try my best to watch Real Time with Bill Maher every week on HBO. If I like a series I usually wait for the DVD box set to come out, but sometimes I will watch Family Guy, Daily show with Jon Stewart, Colbert Report, Future Weapons on the Discovery Channel or Nick at Nite stuff like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Growing Pains, etc. I also like to flip through ESPN, the History Channel, stuff like that. Of course I watch the news, but you have to be careful these days with how you interpret things and where you get your information from.

Books:

The Little Prince. Le Morte d'Arthur. Fight Club. The Greatest Salesman In the World. Illusions. The Book of Five Rings. Profiles In Courage. The Art of War. The Code of the Samurai. The Power of One. Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Gates of Fire. Walden. The World Is Flat. The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, and the Dragonlance series. I've read every James Bond book written by Ian Fleming. Last but not least, the Bible.

Heroes:

My parents... it was hard for their generation to immigrate here and start a new life in this country from scratch, without knowing how to speak English, no money, swallowing their pride working menial jobs and in the face of prejudice, racism, and ignorance. People like Bill Maher, for not being afraid to speak the truth and show America the state of our country today. Influential people who will be remembered for making their mark in our world for hundreds, thousands of years.
