It’s where you find the store keepers, politicians, writers, farmers, artists and their friends hanging out in a lively atmosphere of conversation and table hopping. In winter skiers enter the picture, drawn by the cozy decor. Located in a 19th century building, with every wall, nook and cranny covered with memorabilia...from a number of globes, beer paraphernalia, sculptures, artwork, a piano, old books and magazine clippings to the bell hanging from the ceiling for the last call and the poster advertising the "Wizard of Oz" you get the feeling of a rich history of America, with a travel log expressed through post cards and international currency. One recent Irish immigrant said it’s "the best pub this side of the Atlantic." Owner Dave Szehi purchased Harlow’s Cafe and Deli from Harlow Richardson. Having worked there for over a year, and after bugging him long enough, Richardson agreed to sell the deli and cafe to Szehi in 1996. A few years later he remodeled it into the pub and a few years after that he expanded upstairs and turned it into the wonderful place that it is today.Because of it’s quirky atmosphere, a few films have been shot at Harlow’s over the years. Some have been student films and one was a wonderful independent feature film called "The Sensation of Sight" (1996) starring David Strathairn, Ian Somerhalder, Jane Adams and Anne Cusack.
