About Me

-TUESDAYS 4:00-6:00 P.M.----SNEAK PEAK MONDAYS AT 5:00 PM.----BROADCASTING LIVE OVER DAYTON ON 106.9 FM----OUTSIDE OF DAYTON? LISTEN TO LIVE FEED RIGHT HERE ONLINE.---LISTEN.TO/WWSU------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------INTERVIEWS INCLUDE----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------1) Clarence Clemons- The BIG MAN in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, The Redbank Rockers and now Temple of Soul. Interviewing him was a thrill beyond description. We talked about his new record with Temple of Soul, called "Brothers in Arms." Pick up that record!! No doubt, the greatest sax man in music and one of the greatest guys to share a laugh with. HE'S THE MINISTER OF SOUL AND SECRETARY OF THE BROTHERHOOD, CLARENCE CLEMONS.---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -- 2) Matt Munhall- Talented Columbus area singer-songwriter with two records to his name. Look for him live in Smith & Wollensky if you can afford it, and keep an eye out downtown as he'll be gigging with his band.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------3) Elana James- Young Americana/folk/pop artist who has just released her first solo album and is a former member of the Hot Club of Cowtown out of Texas. She's done work for Willie Nelson and toured with the masterful Bob Dylan on more than one occasion.--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------4) Willie Nile- One of my favorites. Willie has been in the game longer than I've been on this earth and writes some of the most freeing rock & roll music ever recorded. Has toured with Lucinda Williams and The Who.-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------5) Nils Lofgren- Lead guitarist in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and is a former member of Neil Young's Crazy Horse, Grin, and Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band. His solo career boasts songs such as"Black Books," "Keith Don't Go," and "In Your Hands"- all among my favorites. Better believe he is the "Godfather of the Guitar."---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------6) Jesse Malin- Jesse's career has taken him out of Queens, around the nation and around the world. He's one of those artists who still stands for the principals of rock & roll- the truth, the throbbing and the liberation. We celebrated the release of "Glitter in the Gutter"- a record full of everyman anthems. Ryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen & Jakob Dylan all appear on the record as well.
