BIOGRAPHY:
Jack Smeraglia aka THE ECLECTICS nasce a Ribera (AG) il 28 Giugno del 1982. La sua passione per la musica inizia subito da bambino, grazie al padre (noto musicista), e già all'età di 14 anni comincia a mixare con le cassette i suoi primi brani per feste private. Dopo pochi anni (passati a perfezionare la tecnica di mixaggio e il gusto musicale nella selezione dei brani) il suo hobby si trasforma in professione e nel 1999 inizia a suonare nei migliori locali della zona. Inoltre, comincia pure a produrre le sue prime Traxx… acquisendo sempre di più possesso e conoscenza dei principali software di produzione audio professionale. Inizia la collaborazione con il noto Club, CALIPSO IN (uno dei più grandi e rinomati della Sicilia Occidentale), col passar degli anni approda anche nelle consolle dei maggiori Clubs dell'Isola. Con l'amico fraterno Dj/Producer Sergio Matina nascono i progetti: THE ECLECTICS e SIKANIA BROTHERS (che fanno parte della Musical Joint Venture... KEEPERS OF MELODY PRD.). Caratteristica del duo è che fin dall'inizio del loro connubio musicale (in studio di registrazione) non si sono mai soffermati nell'esplorazione di un determinato territorio musicale, ma ecletticamente, sempre nel massimo rispetto della melodia a loro tanto cara, si sono avventurati nella selvaggia jungla dell'Alternative Dance. Nell'Inverno 2006 decide di accrescere il suo bagaglio musical-culturale, trasferendosi in una delle capitali più rinomate d'Europa ovvero Londra. Lì inizia un bel periodo lavorativo, nel quale grazie ai suoi prestigiosi Dj-Sets riesce a conquistare le dancefloors di molti Clubs londinesi… Attualmente vive tra Uk e Italia dove oltre a continuare il suo operato da Club Dj si dedica, come sempre, alle produzioni… del progetto THE ECLECTICS e remixando progetti a livello mondiale (per la Musical Joint Venture KEEPERS OF MELODY PRD.).
Jack Smeraglia, aka THE ECLECTICS, was born in Ribera on 28th of June in 1982. He was fond of music since he was a child, thanks to his father (a well-known musician). He started to mix cds when he was only fourteen and started to play his first songs during some private parties . After few years that he spent to improve the mixing technique and to improve his musical taste in selecting songs, his hobby became a job and in 1999 he started to play in the best clubs in neighbourhood. Then he started to produce his first traxs…and acquires more and more the knowledge of the main software of the professional audio production. He started a collaboration with Calipso In too ( one of the biggest and very famous club of the western Sicily) As years go by he reaches the console of the best clubs of the Isle. In collaboration with his brotherly friend Sergio Matina they gave birth to the following projects: THE ECLECTICS and SIKANIA BROTHERS ( they belong to the Musical Joint Venture…Keepers of Melody PRD) The distinctive feature of the duet in that they have never lingered on a single musical subject, but eclectically and always with the utmost respect for the melody they love, they ventured in the savage jungle of the Alternative Dance. The last winter (2006) he decided to improve his cultural and musical knowledge and so he moved to London , one of the most renowned capital cities of Europe. There he started a satisfactory working period and thanks to his glamorous Dj Sets he succeed in winning the dancefloors of many londoner clubs . Currenlty it lives between Uk & Italy where he, besides continuing his work as a Club DJ he is giving himself up to the productions of the Eclectics Project and remixing some world-wide level projects ( for the Musical Joint Venture Keepers of Melody PRD).
