About Me

Born around 2004-2005 in one of the many working class neighborhoods around the metro Detroit area.
Influenced by the likes of SOIA, In Flames, Suicidal Tendencies, Cold As Life and Madball and a complete disdain for rock radio, Written With Blood was formed. Having only two founding members(CZ and Mark) gave things a slow start. With CZ originally on drums and Mark on guitar, WWB had several songs written,but without the other pieces in tow it seemed to come to a stand-still. After several tries at recruiting a vocalist, CZ decided to hand over the drumming duties to veteran metal drummer Darvo (Cauldron) and go his own on vocals. Since CZ wrote the lyrics, it only seemed natural for the band to go this route. Fast forward several months and a couple of adds later to the arrival of Mikey;via Dayton, Ohio. As the ex guitarist for Prophets of the Downfall, he quickly integrated his own style of metalcore and added to the writing aspects giving WWB a much fuller sound. Now, armed with 4 complete songs, but minus a bassist, they went into Woodshed Studios to record a demo. Two full days and with Mikey pulling double duty on guitar and bass, a 4 song demo was born. But, not to be done they kept on writing new material and auditioned a couple of bass players. Along comes Josh. A guitarist by trait, but willing to play bass, he stepped in to fill the role.
Five guys. Five different backgrounds. One attitude. With songs about gang life, family pride, love, lust, pain....Written With Blood is here to help Detroit remain on top as one of the hardest, heavy hitting cities in the hardcore scene! Strictly the real!
