About Me

Originally formed in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, and playing under the name Electric, the band was a known fixture on the local circuit. Their sets included LA/Sunset Strip era glam covers, as well as songs that would later become part of their first album, Latest Plague. By this time, the band had changed their name to The Age of Electric. It was in 1991 that their first music video was released, for Aphrodisiac Smile. In 1992, the band relocated to Vancouver.
Remaining an indie band for quite some time, though by choice, The Age of Electric released several of their albums on their own independent record label entitled God's Teeth Ethel Records, including The Ugly Ep and the Untitled Lp. Their major record label debut on Universal Music, Make a Pest a Pet, saw them break through to national radio and television, but unfortunately was their last group effort.
The Dahle brothers continued with Limblifter and The New Pornographers, and the Kerns brothers formed Static in Stereo. Todd Kerns is now a solo artist and producer, also playing in Brent Muscat’s Faster Pussycat.
