About Me

Social Disease was formed in Vancouver in 2006 by Shane Stone, Rod Davis and Metal Murrin who met after each had separately placed classified advertisements in the local publication The Straight.
The band recorded a rough demo in 2006 that featured six raw but brutal tracks showcasing the bands obvious influences such as Megadeth, Metallica, Motorhead and Judas Priest. Soon after the release of there first demo Social Disease became weekend favorites among Vancouver's Metal/Rock community with their agressive and intense live show! Since then Social Disease have performed over 40+ shows across the province including several dates at The Plaza, The Roxy, Croation Culture Centre along with coming in first place in many battle of band contests. Social Disease is the only Metal band that had advanced to the Regional Finals in the bodogbattle.

Social Disease have just completed there debut E.P co-mixed by engineer Dean Maher (Ac/Dc, Slayer) along with producer Adam Biggs. There first single "Love or War" is receiving airplay across Canada and has garnered rave reviews. The band is currently in production for an upcoming video and tour! So stay Tuned....
From I.M.U Productions~SOCIAL DISEASE - This recently formed group of very talented musicians are about to release there second C.D while quickly becoming weekend favorites among Vancouver's hard rock community. With influences including Megadeth, Metallica, G'n'R and Judas Priest, this heavy metal juggernaut is loaded with tons of potential!
From RockAngelBands ~ We've never had a band that almost all our reviewers have agreed upon like they did with Social Disease.
From Bodogmusic~ Social Disease was a crazy metal band with phenomenal stage presence. They can thank their first round spot to the huge hair, amazing solos and metal tunes at their finest.
From The Nerve Magazine~ Spread the Social Disease across the globe! Feature song, Love or War , is a fuckin masterpiece. Check out how, as it begins, wah-wah guitars harmonize flawlessly with a long howl from vocalist Shane Stone. But it’s the incendiary playing of bassist Dank that establishes the pure barbaric strength of the song. The band says its influences are alcohol, weed, and pussy; I say whatever it takes to bring Vancouver pure metal rock. The speed and intensity of Social Disease is head banging worthy. These guys are out to damn all you sons of mothers. - Christina Paris
