Kelly Murray writes music to find clarity within confusion, passion within pride, and purpose within pain. With more authenticity and lyrical depth than most diaries, let alone the majority of commercial pop, Kelly Murray’s songs are meant to inspire hope and fight battles beyond her own. A natural born singer/songwriter, Kelly Murray has an instinctive ability to touch the hidden parts of people’s hearts.
Kelly’s defining moment came during a chance meeting with an old friend, when she discovered that life’s distractions and struggles had allowed music to become lost within the shadows of her heart.
That night the title song for her debut EP "Let Me Fall" flowed out like water bursting through a river dam. With shaking hands and teary eyes she realized that music was inside of her. From that point on, inspired by the likes of Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Joni Mitchell, and Carole King, Kelly’s life became consumed by songwriting.
Scheduled for a release in the Spring, "Let Me Fall" is just the beginning for Kelly Murray’s budding musical career which has already attracted the attention of A&R reps from several major labels including Warner, Atlantic & Jive. Able to suffer great tragedies, make huge mistakes, and to experience loss through her songs, Kelly Murray is not your average cookie cutter bubblegum pop singer. There is a greater message behind her music, a message of moving forward, rediscovering your passions, and doing what is right, although it’s not always the easiest thing to do.
