BIOGRAFIA Gli Ashram si formano nell' inverno del 2002 quando Saverio Giaffreda e Giuseppe Fracasso, rispettivamente voce e chitarra, si incontrano e nasce subito un feeling animato dalla stessa passione musicale, nonchè dalla stessa unione d'intenti. Bastano poche battute e i due decidono di creare le basi per un gruppo che rispecchi un sound ispirato al vecchio Heavy Metal degli anni 80', rielaborato in chiave moderna.. Il progetto Ashram prende così vita, ed in questa prima fase è un' intensa attività live a farla da padrone. La nuova formazione inizia una serie di esibizioni in diversi locali, concerti che non solo tributano i primi applausi, ma mettono in evidenza le potenzialità e la creatività della band, che già presenta al pubblico un repertorio composto da brani inediti, ai quali si alternano cover di pietre miliari della storia del Metal. Il 2004 è per la band un anno d'oro. A maggio partecipano al contest europeo Emergenza e puntualmente arrivano primi, conquistando una notorietà che supera i confini della provincia e trova risonanza a largo raggio. Così nello stesso anno esce il primo lavoro chiamato" Promo 04' ", un cd contenente tre brani: Plans on my hands, White Angel, Bioriginal. Questo primo lavoro riceve importanti riconoscimenti ricevendo il premio “TOP DEMO” al rinomato pub FULL MOON di Roma. Dopo vari cambiamenti di formazione la band trova la sua stabilità con l’arrivo di un nuovo bassista Antonio Cataldi e insieme alla presenza del veterano Antonio Nuzzaci (batteria) i 4 ragazzi iniziano a porre le basi per l’uscita del loro primo album. Proprio il 29 settembre del 2007 esce “Wild Path of Sorrow” , per la GET UP CONCERTI, disco che consacra gli ASHRAM nel panorama underground nazionale. Iniziano cosi, nuovi e importanti riconoscimenti da parte degli addetti ai lavori ma soprattutto da parte di bands di spicco sul panorama nazionale e internazionale. La band è attualmente in tour e può contare gia numerosi live anche da spalla a bands di fama mondiale come : PUNKREAS, SOULFLY, EXTREMA, PINO SCOTTO ecc.. Da segnalare la prossima uscita di una compilation di cui faranno parte gli ASHRAM che sarà distribuita nei principali contest metal europei come: GODS OF METAL, WACKEN OPEN AIR e MOUNTAINS OF DEATH! Di prossima uscita è il loro videoclip del loro singolo MISS INSANITY per la DEVISEMPREVEDERE PRODUCTION, che vede la partecipazione dell’attrice CHIARA PAVONI e che presto sarà visibile sulla mittente televisiva ROCK TV di piattaforma SKY. BIOGRAPHY Ashram form in winter 2002, when Saverio Giaffreda and Giuseppe Fracasso, the singer and the guitarist respectively,meet and realize they are both keen on music and have the same purposes.Immediately they decide to form a band inspired by the old 80s heavy metal scene, but that also reflects the modern sound. The first period of the band’s life is characterized by a long series of live performances that gives the first success to Ashram and highlights their performance’s skill and creative potential. 2004 is the golden year for Ashram: they come first in the European contest Emergenza and their name starts to become well-known far outside their birthplace. In the same year Ashram’s first work “Promo 04”,( a cd including 3 songs: Plans on my hands, White Angel and Bioriginal.) comes out.This first cd receives many recognitions, getting the prize “top demo” at the renowned Full moon of Rome.After having changed several line-ups, the band finally finds its own stability with the arrival of the new bassist Antonio Cataldi and together with the veterean drummer Antonio Nuzzaci the 4 boys begin to work to their first album.Just the 29 of september “Wild path of sorrow” comes out, for GET UP CONCERTI, an album thanks to which Ashram begin to be well-known in the national underground scene, getting many assents by famous national and international bands. At present the band is on tour and has already taken part in several concerts with famous bands, such as PUNKREAS, SOULFLY, EXTREMA and PINO SCOTTO. Another compilation in which Ashram have taken part will be soon out.It will be give out in the most important metal events such as GODS OF METAL, WACKEN OPEN AIR and MOUNTAINS OF DEATH. Moreover Ashram’s first videoclip of the single “Miss insanity”,featuring the actress Chiara Pavoni, is about to come out.It will be distributed by the DEVISEMPREVEDERE PRODUCTION and it will be soon transmitted on the broadcasting rock tv(sky)..
