Red Rose Ramblers

About Me

The Red Rose Ramblers are a diverse country band from Northeast Iowa that can play Blake Shelton to Don Williams and anything in between. The core of the band is made up of the Rose boys: Scott on lead guitar/vocals, his uncle Tom on rhythm guitar/vocals, and second cousin Clete on steel guitar. Bass player, Johnny Hart, fiddle player, Bill George and drummer, Jay Anderson round out the group. Most of the guys have played with various other bands and got together to form the Ramblers after several jam sessions at JR’s Bar and Grill in Farmersburg, Iowa.Scott and Tom do most of the lead vocals, but John and Clete can occasionally be persuaded to throw a song out there. Both Scott and Tom have written several original songs and perform many of them at the shows. Scott infuses traditional country style and some bluesy licks into his songs like "Feeling that Gets Me High", and "Drinkin’ Forever Off My Mind" from his first CD. "Vacation Paradise" is one of the fan favorites from his second CD. Tom is also in the process of laying down some of his originals including the lively "Yellow River Moonshine", "The Cowboy Song", and the touching ballad "I Don’t Know How to Thank You".
