About Me

I started playing guitar in 1994, but have always had a passion of listening to music way before that. I would sing along to music, and started hearing melodies and solos in my head. Early on I listed to Richard Marx, Phil Collins, Alias, and Def Lepard. All these bands had great singers as well as players and was the spark for me to start that journey towards becoming a musician. Richard though was my favorite singer, and could do a song like "right here waiting", and even though there wasn't a lot of instruments he could pull that song off and make it great. My brother got me listening to Metallica and Iron Maiden. Then eventually I started listening to metal. It wasn't till I was in college that I first heard of George Lynch. I remember the first song I ever heard on the radio was "Dream Until Tomorrow Comes". Then I went out and got the cd. I found by my sophmore year in high school that I had and interest in electronics. I studied Electronics in my junior year and went to college and got my associate degree. After 5 years I ended up changing careers to IT Support Helpdesk for computer operations. I have done Karekoi once at a friends house at a Halloween party when I worked for Rockwell and we had sung songs like Hometown Alabama. One girl was shy and I helped her sing one of the songs as a backing vocal. Sometimes that is enough to help a person get over their fears. I joined a co-ed softball team for Rockwell and we had some very good times. I wish I could have gotten to go to all the get togethers with them after the games, but I worked 2nd shift at the time. I did get to do white water rafting with them though for 2 weekends. Once I went in the summer and then once again in October. At that time of the year a wet suit is required and previous training because the water is a lot rougher.Get your layout at YourSpaceZone.com - Myspace Layouts, Myspace Stuff

My Interests

Hiking, white water rafting, hockey, basketball, guitar, watch hero's, collect action movies.

Music:

I love to listen to a lot of eighties metal bands, and motivational sound tracks such as the Rocky Story. I like some of todays music though also. Have to keep up with the times and always searching for more inspiration because you never know what is out there, and discover unknown territory.I have listened to about every genre of music. Each has profound players. There are lots of very good song writers and singers out there. I can't really classify music in terms of one standard. Each band plays a variety of song types, and it is those bands that we come to love their music. Some of the bands songs can relate to a time in your life, and remind you of great times. Other songs motivate the spirit and when a song touches you that you want to sing along with it or try to play it.

Movies:

I am a big movie collector, and am into action movies, such as Predator, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Kick Boxer, Enter the Dragon, and Bloodsport. The Day after Tomorrow is one of my favorite disaster movies of all time.

Television:

NBC HeroesMy Soundclick page. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=518183

Books:

Terry Brooks Shanarra series, Harry Potter Series, Fantasy Novels.

Heroes:

I joined the George Lynch Guitar Dojo and am being trained by one of my favorite players of all time. As well as being taught by Bryon Shepherd, another awesome player. There are a lot of others that are Heroes to me, such as teachers who have helped me out in school, as well as being part of a sports team where everyone looks out for each other. Also for my real life friends who have been there for me for years.
