About Me

Hello,I'm Paul S. Kemp, NY Times bestselling author of fantasy fiction, much of it set in the Forgotten Realms setting from Wizards of the Coast. I'd characterize my fiction as a cross between dark fantasy and sword and sorcery fiction. Moorcock and Leiber are my touchstones, though (like many authors) I've been influenced strongly by David Gemmell, H.P. Lovecraft, and Steven Brust (particularly his Vlad Taltos novels). My most popular fiction features Erevis Cale, a one-time assassin turned priest who finds himself caught up in the schemes of dark men and still darker gods. It's a fun ride. Here's a link to all my novels and stories .Folks sometimes ask me where to start with the Cale stories. That's an easy one. Start with either Twilight Falling , book one of The Erevis Cale Trilogy, or Shadowbred , book one of The Twilight War. Either is a good place to start the Cale stories. If you're interested in trying out my work for free, I've posted big chunks of it on my website as free pdf downloads. You can download the the first five chapters of Twilight Falling or the the first five chapters of Shadowbred . Have a read. See if you enjoy them.A list of my novels (well, most of them) is in the slideshow below. I look forward to meeting you. Please leave me a comment or drop me a message... Amazon.com Widgets ..
