About Me

Where do I start? I was born and raised in the mountainous state of Colorado. During my time here I developed a knack for all kinds of music, distance running, boxing, hiking, trying new food I can find, road trips, and almost anything spontaneous that comes my way. After my twenty-two year stay I emerged from Colorado State University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Biomedical Sciences. Problem is, I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. Somewhere along the huge mess of sorting out my future, I ended up getting accepted into the Biomedical Research Training Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. I think I lucked out; even though I had to leave the mountains, I'm working on research that I really like, there's a decent (growing) indie rock scene in the city and I've met some amazing people along the way.I guess at this juncture in my life, I just need to see where life will take me...

Although today marks some of the first fourty-or-so degree days in Omaha for 2007, I already have a huge itch to get back outdoors.  I noticed today how much I miss being outside in the sun. ...

The O.C.

In recent weeks I've been catching the O.C. and I have to say, I actually really like this show.  I know it's over-hyped and pretentious, because really, are the super-dramatic lives of the wealt...

Five-Year Plan

Well, I've bitten the bullet and figured out which lab I'm going to do my thesis in. It was actually a toss-up for quite awhile after my third rotation - I'd had a couple of solid rotations with peop...

Pirate!

Yes, I still download music.  I'm still a student and I no longer have all kinds of new discs available at my fingertips like when I was at KCSU 90.5 FM, so it's really the only way to get my mus...
