Rival Streetpress

Rival Streetpress is a dream come true for this music fan from Wodonga. After years of wanting to bring out a music and youth publication for the area, it is finally coming to fruition thanks to some cashola from winning the Berlei/Cleo Supporting Young Women's competition. And no, I didn't sell out as there are no strings attached - only to bring out the best possible publication for you music loving grungers. Based in Albury/Wodonga, Rival Streetpress is a free monthly publication with 24 pages that targets 15 to 30-year-olds. It will feature visiting bands, local bands, cd and live reviews, movie reviews, fashion and a gig guide. So if you are looking for a gig to go to, something to do on the weekend or wanting to keep up with hot local bands, you can pick up a copy of Rival Streetpress at surf shops, music stores and live venues. The first issue will be out in April and will be available in the Albury/Wodonga district, Wangaratta and Wagga Wagga. We want you to send us your gigs and projects. We are here to help you get your name and music out there. We want to help make the live music scene in North East Victoria and the Riverina burst at the seams.
