About Me

BIOGRAPHY.
In the dawn of the New Year four unsuspecting lads awake dreary eyed. As they stare into the neon glow of the city lights illuminating the horizon, vague notions of a night well spent litter the ground at their feet. Swaggering through the cacophony that surrounds them, an aura of anticipation and excitement takes grip. Mere youths armed with nothing more than guitars, synths and the power of song and verse, their craft of synth induced, melodic, trash pop shimmers and sparks. Enter Radio Star.
Barely a year from their fabled formation Radio star have shared the stage with such bands as Operator please, Gyroscope, End Of Fashion, Trial Kennedy, The Galvatrons, The Dukes of Windsor, British India and American band The Matches on their Australian tour.
Newly armed with their latest release which was launched to a massive crowd at The Corner Hotel, “Here We Are“, recorded at Melbournes own Studio 52, Hothouse and S.A.E studios is a testament to Radio Star’s unique sound and writing force.

“You guys are F%king awesome!”. - Operator Please.
"Radio Star Glisten in their bold pop enthusiasm. You'd call it punk if they used guitars in place of their shining, shimmering synths, but the biting lyrics and angular riffs are tempered by a stylish retro chic. This is erudite punk, 21st century punk". - Beat Magazine.
