Hustler & Gloss is the brainy funk child of Thomas Sari & Bodie Lee. Both were born in the 70’s. Thomas became obsessed with synthesizers and electronics at an early age & young Bodie relished in anything having to do with Disco & keyboards. These boys fell into the music above all else.
Thomas (Belgium) eventually got into live venues, production, and serious sound engineering. His brand of ‘music for the soul’ has been released out on EP’s for such labels as Agave, Vokuhila, Funk Factory & Cyclo.
Bodie (USA) turned DJ & became a remix/re-edit artist. He now creates nudisco & produces old school funk projects. He has been released on Funk Factory Records.
Thomas & Bodie 'met' & connected in 2006. This was a result of the now amazing availability of artists over the world wide web. Their friendship soon evolved into working with one another & a desire to collaborate even more deeply. As the new year of 2007 was born, so was the musical pairing deemed 'Hustler & Gloss' !
The recipe for Hustler & Gloss sound is easy … one part sexy, one part strut !
Infused with Thomas's electronic cosmique slick & Bodie's liquid disco funk - is a world of soulbotic boogie ... filled with skies of sequential carnival, mountains of technologic rhythm and oceans of squelching bass.
H&G is scheduled for their first release with Love Is War Music – ‘Baby Flex’ & 'Captain Smooth'.
