Sacrilege Street was given life by an alcoholic bio-chemist after spending an evening getting drunk with a public television executive who had recently been declared insane. After a night of vomiting and brain-storming, they later came up with the idea for an educational show unlike any other. A puppet show that would take place in a shady neighborhood populated by disturbing characters teaching strangely familiar lessons that would be just too hard-core for "other" educational shows. A show that would eat into the world's collective consciousness like a comforting cancer...(actually Sacrilege Street came from a nightmare I had when I was a kid):
There I was walking along my favorite show, Sesame Street, but it was after dark. All of the show's characters were there, but they were no longer lovable puppets; they were HUGE, hairy creatures with horribly deformed LEGS stumbling around in the dark. I distinctly remember Cookie Monster's large, googly eyes looking down on me with hunger. I woke up with a cold sweat, and an idea for a show...G.H.ps. look for the hidden episode on youtube that couldn't be shown on MySpace... it's called "The Letter E"
