TIP-XL meaning Thug Intelligent Poet - X-ray of Life (the 1st letter T with the last one L gives THUG LIFE, which is a tribute for the best MC ever, 2PAC). ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- I, TIP-XL, am from Martinique in the French West-Indies and speaks french and english (and also creole but not too much). I'm living right now in France, and I'm 22 ("don't be fooled by the baby face, I hope U're not" would say Lil Cease). I fell in love with hip-hop a long time ago, and there ain't no way I could love a woman the way I love hip-hop. And God knows how much I love women!!! I let U do the math,lol. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- Anyway, so much in love with this culture it led me to every other kinds of American Black music. Nu school, old shool, no school rules, love them all. I've been writing and rapping for 10 years (4 real, no kidding). And I started producing 2 years ago, since I had nobody to make beats for me, sort of like David Banner. And it turned out I was really good at this. It also allowed me to get back to playing the piano, that I used to play when I was a kid. And it gives me so much pleasure! (if somebody needs a beat, holla at me!) I'd like also to help other singers to sing on my beats, rap or rnb, doesn't matter if U're famous or not. If U want beats to sell records, I sell beats then! I'd love to sell some beats to people like Ras Kass or Booba, people who spit ill on the mic U know! ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- I love all kinds of rap but I'm a huuuuuge fan of the West Coast G-Funk sound!! DJ Quik, Warren G, Dr Dre, Battlecat, Soopafly, Daz!!!!!!!! Dat's my shiit!! These guyz make U get high without no smoke! That's what my sound does too! ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- Lyrically, I'm not a G and I don't claim to be one (even though I like the G lyrics, coz some times I feel like slappin a nigga, like Ludacris would say, so I bump this or I write some shit to get outta my chest and I let the anger out). Lyrically I'm more like Common, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco (whom I resemble), Mos Def, ... I luv my black people, and that's what I like to put on the spot when I write. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- So there it is, TIP-XL in the hiizzz housse!!!!
