MY INSTRUMENT IS MY VOICE:______________________________________________________
_____________________________________In my late teens I began studying classical singing, later I studied other vocal techniques and anatomy for the purpose of knowing how the voice works. Some years ago I had a record deal but I found myself in the wrong element and is now happily released from it. Since I was a teenager I’ve been writing music. I write on piano and has developed my writing from soft rock, pop, ballads and soul/R&B to JAZZ! When singing I like thinking as an instrumentalist; I treasure the freedom of being spontaneous and being able to sing what's in my soul and what comes to mind, that can be using different sounds similar to a violin or horn, or the free flow of improvisation. Of course I also sing the words - words are VERY important - but it's important to me that the expression is captured in the essence of the music.______________________________________________________

I've just finished writing the material for my forthcoming album - music and lyrics - it's songs with many different topics; the many aspects of deep love, staying true to yourself and life, how it's there for us but are we there for it..?

I feature a lot of musicians at concerts and use various musicians myself. At gigs I play/sing a lot of standards and jazzified tunes. I also work in the studio on different projects. What means something to me is the happiness you add on stage and the emotions you add through the music. Regarding my own music and recordings I'm looking for the right people to work with._______________________________________________________

____________________________________________Among many I'm inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Ernestine Anderson, Bessie Smith, Diana Krall, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, Natalie Cole, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Oscar Peterson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Angie Stone, Mariah Carey, Anthony Hamilton, Kate Bush and Italian jazz singer Paolo Conte. As a child I listened to a lot of Mozart, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith and organ players John Medeski and Jimmy Smith. A voice that is also a great inspiration to me is the American/Italian soprano Anna Moffo.______________________________________________________
