Originally trained on the streets of San Francisco by SF legends, the native began doing graffiti 1989. He was moved by the urban art movement that flourished around him in the early 80's.Known for his elaborate wild styles, and expressive colors, Misk1 has gained world wide recognition with his three dimensional letters. Using line shade and color Misk breaks the two dimensional surface with three dimensional words inspired by lyrics, hip hop terms and his name. His drive is to break the monotony of life and bring his surreal typography into our existence.Past projects have included designs for companies such as Levi's, Tribal Gear, and Gravis; a mural sponsored by Scion, lectures at the Miami Ad School.
