About Me

Gina Antognoli Scanlon was commissioned to create her first painting at age nine. She refined her talent studying fine art at Kent State University, Ohio; visual communications at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as sculpture and painting techniques in Italy.Working closely with her clients, the artist arranges consultations and takes extensive photographs to achieve her client’s approval before she begins to paint the portrait. Gina’s love of people, her high artistic standards, and professional commitment to each portrait combine to make the creative process an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved. Gina’s portraits have pleased a wide range of private clients such as governmental officials, CEOs, doctors, scientists, educators, family groups and individuals of all ages. Her corporate clients include Betsy Ann Chocolates, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, The American Museum of Natural History, West Penn Allegheny Health Systems, Columbia Gas, Dentistry for Kids, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, County of Allegheny and Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.In 2007, one of her giclée prints was displayed in an international exhibition at the Guan Shamus Museum in Shenzhen, China. Gina’s artwork has been exhibited in The Andy Warhol Museum, Studio Z, Heinz History Center, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh galleries.
