I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 The group Protest originated in 1989. In its beginnings it resembled to the style of brutal trash metal, but after couple of changes in the group the production turned into death/grind.In 1992 the group recorded their first and the last demo called Inside of humanity. The demo contained six tracks and recieved very good reviews and feedback in the musical underground.Debut album „What For Name When Humanity Is Dying“ was recorded and released in 1995 by Metal Age productions. The songs are much more complex, besides the death metal, you can hear features of doom metal / keyboards and woman vocals / and grindcore. It was one of the most striking albums in the whole underground scene and the feedback was very agreeable.The group often give concerts in the clubs and metal festivals,too and enjoys the favour of the fans. In 1998 the group recorded the second album „About Human Idols“, however, after recording the album the group broke up and the album wasn´t released. Only in summer of 2000 the group starts playing again and starts searching for the publisher of About Human Idols, finally decides for Metal Age Production again, where the album is published in 2002. The music on the album hardly fit to any categhory- it is emotional, brutal, technical, avant-garde...and again the group knocks off giving concerts.The main author of the songs leaves the group due to his personal problems, so next musical movement of the group shifts to a different direction. The new songs are more brutal, faster and rougher.At the end of 2002 and the beginning of 2003 the group records their third album called „Have A Rest , Please“ and its listeners are shocked by 16 tracks full of intense and raw grindcore with features of death metal. The album was released in summer of 2003, again under the label of Metal Age Production, supported by many concerts.In 2004 the group prepares the songs for the next album, which is recorded in Moravian studio Shaark in the winter 2004/2005. Songs are more technical and went death metal’s way with hard core elements. However, the album remains uncomplete due to the health problems of the singer Jaro. As soon as everything is alright, they will have finished the album and it will be released as the fourth album of the group Protest.In its existence the group went through couple of personal changes, the only person who stood by the establishing of the group is the singer Jaro. The guitar player Viktor has played with group since 1991, drummer Rasto since 1997, the guitar player Patrik since 2002 and professionally youngest member of the group is the bass guitar player Jano who joined the group in 2004.In the spring of 2006 the guitar player Patrik leaves the group, anyway, we don´t want to replace him, the group continues playing with one guitar, but singer Jaro still cannot dedicate his time to the group because of his health problems. His place substituted the singer Martin from the group Porfyria, though, with the change of style (the newest songs are slower, less technical, and straightforward) and a shift from the brutal metal he is altered by the singer Stoty.At the beginning of 2007 the group together with the singer Martin from Porfyria left for the studio Shaark to finish their fourth album (drums, bass and guitars recorded in winter 2004/2005). The singer Jaro still has got some medical problems, so he isn´t able to sing for the album. At the moment the album is being mixed, after finishing will be released as the fourth album of the group Protest. At the same time it will be the first album where the original singer of the group won´t sing.
