Morbidium brought forth in June 2003 as a two-member band, with constituent members Carcass (guitars) and Gosh (vokills). The band immediately started looking for drummer to complete line-up, but none of local blasters showed enough skills or interest to play sickened Brutal Death, so in the end of year 2003 the band decided to start using drum machine till live drummer will be found.
At the beginning of year 2004 was recorded demo CD “Decayed Remains Taken From Butcher’s Morgue†and the band played first gig on 20th March in their hometown. Till the fall of year 2005 Morbidium was spreading sickness and played gigs all over Slovakia. By this time the band decided to rid off the drum machine.
Soon, in late December 2005, Xapor, our friend and drummer from the band Distrophy joined us together with his brother Hrobar, who abuse guitar and the original face of Morbidium had transformed into more brutal and sick way. We have played two fucking sick gigs which bashed our brains out, but due to work obligations both Xapor and Hrobar had to left the band. From the early 2006 till the summer the band was stagnating.
In late august 2006 Morbidium found absolute back-up - Psycho (drummer in Diftery) and start to prepare material for new record. In September that year the band hit Typhoid Sound Laboratory and recorded EP “Fraility In Human Enduranceâ€. After that several shows were played and Morbidium received awesome response. Unfortunately, due to studying, Gosh moved to western and Carcass to eastern region of Slovakia. Because of enormous distance and fucking lack of time and possibilities to work together, both former members decided that live performance at Obscene Extreme Fest on 7th of July 2007 was Morbidium’s last gig.
Postmortem, Morbidium hit once again Typhoid Sound Laboratory in February 2008, to record last material, which will be released as a split CD with bands Mortally Infected (Slovakia) and Victims (Czech Republic) under label Grodhains Productions. Contact address for band is
