Washington D.C. native singer/songwriter L’illon is the founder of “Lucid Pop”, a sub-genre of contemporary pop music. This music, described by industry insiders as “a class by itself and its own style”, has been created by the singer/songwriter herself.“Lucid Pop” is a modern sound that gets the listener into a unique mood. Turn the music on and the song’s melody stirs your senses. As one fan has expressed, “sing along melodies, with brilliantly effective lyrics, Lucid Pop never leaves your memory”. The timeless tracks make people feel sexy in their own skin, while providing an opptimistic outlook on life. Studying the works of classical composers (Verdi, Chopin, Beethoven, Rimski-Korsakov & Saint Saens) as well as modern songwriters such as the Beatles, Sting, U2, and Jewel, some of whom she identifies as influences, L’illon, nevertheless has crafted a unique approach to music. Her sound strives to openly address the highs and lows of life, portrayed with insight, compassion, and resolution.L’illon has traveled abroad extensively, spending time in Europe (in places where Bowie and Bono also were inspired), and where she started studying voice at an early age. Later enrolling as a student at a private university and earning a Master’s Degree in Music, she developed her talents of musicianship more fully.She has turned to songwriting and performing full time and is “blazing her own trail” on the contemporary music scene. Her much awaited full-length album is being recorded and will be the first “Lucid Pop” music album released in the fall of 2007.
