KILLER SOUNDS FOR GROOVY PEOPLE

About Me

Pablo Garza, 27 year old electronic music freak and dj from Monterrey Mexico but living at Houston Texas USA, he joined the electronic music scene in 1996 and started mixing in 2001.His music repertory haves lots of IDM, Electro, Dowtempo, Acid Jazz etc. Pablo started mixing in small parties some Electro and IDM but the local scene in those days was not ready for that kind of music, thats why he started playing Psytrance, genre that make him perform in front of big crowds in important events. Now Pablo is going back to his electronic roots spining again more Electro-Techno music besides some IDM and Dub too.Click to zoom in on my visitor map!

Influences: When I was a kid I listened to everything, funny regional Mexican folk music ...some Mexican pop music with my sister also some 80s american/european rock and early electro with my brother...later I started building my own taste first with some old rock artists like: Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin, Black Sabbath, Santana, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors etc. Also in those times (mid 90s) I used to listen to alternative rock music like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, STP, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Butthole Surfers, Cafe Tacuba, Smashing Pumpkins, Primus...and also some rap/hip hop like: Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs n Harmony among others. I guess I was a common 90s teenager but in one trip to USA I stopped in a used record store and I bought some Dub and Trance cds and that was the point when in realize I loved synthesizer and computer programmed music, also in those days some trance, progressive house and drum and bass parties where organized in my city and suddenly I was hooked to these scene, friends, radio, TV and internet where very useful to get in contact with new artists (at least new for me). In those days I started to listen to lots of: Sabres of Paradise, Funky Porcini, Fila Brazillia, Moonshine Recs, Aphex Twin, Plaid, Herbert, Cornelius, Moby, Mouse on Mars, Lionrock, Massive Attack, Boards of Canada, Two Lone Swordsmen, Miss Kittin, Laurent Garnier, The Hacker, Dj Hell, Cassius, Daft Punk, Chemical Bros, Underworld, Dj Krush, The Dining Rooms, Astral Projection, Nobukazu Takemura, Gerd, Tarwater, Goa Gil, Mark Farina, Ming and FS, Jazzanova, Aqua Bassino, Bonobo, Dj Vadim, Kiko, Etienne de Crecy, Alex Gopher, Instinct Recs, Steve Bug, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Zion Train, Death in Vegas, Seefeel, Loop Guru, African Headcharge, Twine, Les Hommes, Dub Syndicate, Sven Väth, Primal Scream, Armand Van Helden, X Dream, Lamb, Slinky Wizard, Diesel Boy, James Figurine, Electric Birds, Dntel, Llorca, Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, DAT Politics, Kid 606, Analog Pussy, Son Kite, Nick Warren, Atmos, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corp, Dust Bros, Dj Cam, Carl Cox, Adam X, Mr. Oizo, Demon, Acid Maria, Richie Hawtin, John Tejada, Stars as Eyes, Hallucinogen, Juno Reactor, Luke Vibert, Mira Calix, Anti Pop Consortium, Beanfield, Atjazz, Knifehandchop, Cex..... Sounds Like: Depends on the party.. Pablo's sound can be.... laid back dub.... fancy and sophisticated acid jazz... squeaky creaky bizarre idm... hipnotic minimal techno.... funky fresh electro... and the mix between all those genres and more :)
