Hip Hop artists and Cambridge natives Big Smo & Bad Guy are the headliners that make up the remarkable duo of Tha Block Brothaz. Their name not only symbolizes the brotherhood they shared while growing up on Tha Block together, but also symbolizes a movement. A movement meant to invoke unity within the urban blocks in which we reside. While Tha Block Brothaz have both put work in over the past ten years, as they built names for themselves as solo artists in New England; they eventually realized each other’s abilities, heard opportunity knocking and joined forces. Clearly Tha Block Brothaz come from the streets, and have all the aggression of the streets, but they don’t glamorize the streets; sure, they’ll take care of themselves in a harsh environment, but ultimately they prefer to steer clear of trouble, cops, and jail. It’s a refreshingly grounded and realistic perspective. But not only are Tha Block Brothaz great artists, they are also good businessmen. With them both playing for the team they own, Smo$Money Records, LLC along with Big Smo being the CEO/President and Bad Guy the VP of Marketing and Promotions; you can ensure that any production released off their label is sure to be a HIT! Their latest single “Gun Cock” off their upcoming album “Holla Block!” has quickly established them with hip-hop fans and has built an underground following. Tha Block Brothaz have certainly impressed a great many people, among them critics, fellow rap artists, and a crowd who enjoys a good old-fashioned hip-hop album with an emphasis on beats, rhymes and life. As emerging stars and innovative businessmen, Tha Block Brothaz make both the mastery of their music and the success of their company their everyday goal. They stay steadfast and determined in their mission to get their music out to their fans. All the tracks off of their upcoming debut album will be as street as they’ll be club-astute, making it a must-have album for all fans of hip-hop.

Mr. Redbod Soul - Bio
Soul Singer & Songwriter Bre was raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he grew up in New England culture. From an early age, Bre exhibited an extraordinary gift and passion for music. At the age of seven his talents were realized, as he became his family’s personal entertainer. The desire to entertain came from growing up in a large family whose everyday struggle to make ends meet meant that all you had was each other; with this the value of family life became prevalent. So you can say Bre’s performances were an outlet for the entire family. Being shy until the age of twelve, it wasn’t until then that Bre began to perform beyond the family circle. It was also at this age that he would discover his knack for songwriting. At this time he and two other young men formed a group called “Three of a Kind”. This group only lasted a relatively short time due to Bre’s focus on being a true soul singer. He would later in high school become a member of a group called, “Faluv”. Who went on to perform in the New England area and showcase their talent in New York. However this group also disassembled. Soon after Bre made the decision to embark on a solo career. Today, Bre is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter. His deep respect and appreciation for “soul music” is displayed when he fuses today’s pop music style with the soulful sounds of the 60’s. A style and era referred to as Redbone Soul. In acknowledgement of his skills, Bre gives tribute to his influences such as Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Ronald Isley and Michael Jackson. Bre graces his audiences with intoxicating doses of R&B vocals. He illuminates with devotion and conviction as his love for music is revealed with every performance. The crowd remembers who he is long after he’s left the stage, as he gives his all each and every time he performs. On Bre’s upcoming Smo$Money Records debut album titled “RED BONE SOUL” due for release in 2007, people worldwide-young and old-will hear the style so many artists today are straying from. In conclusion it can be said that Bre is determined to give the public a taste of the “Baby Makin Music” they’ve been missing, which will undoubtedly make them instant fans.
