Leadfoot Speedfreak

In November of 2006, JP was at a “Cmon” show at call the office. He was talking with Cmon guitarist, Ian Blurton and mentioned wanting to put a band together. As luck would have it, Jo Jo Rock was also in the dressing room having played in band with Ian back in Toronto. J.P. immediately asked Jo Jo if he would lend his drumming expertise to his new band. Several beers latter, Jo Jo agreed to come out of retirement to show the kids how to Rock! Fate must have been smiling upon J.P. because also at that show was one, Brian L., bass player. All of nineteen and an honour student at Western, he had ventured to Call the Office for the first time to indulge his punk rock leanings. He overhead J.P. excitedly talking about finding a drummer for his new band and being in need of only a bass player. Brian offered that he played bass. J.P. was further surprised to find that Brian also hailed from his parent’s hometown of Peterborough. The band was set and the loud, hard, fast part was about to begin. J.P. meet Brian over Christmas at Brian’s parent's house and played him the songs on an acoustic guitar. The first two-week of January saw daily rehearsals at Jo Jo Rock’s house where they got the songs down. By January 20th they’d recorded, mixed and finished their first CD, “Loud, Hard, Fast”.
