Musical background:
On my 16th or 17th year in life, I heard "My Friend Of Misery" by Metallica. I instantly decided I wouldn't rest until I could play the intro flawlessly. I eventually did. The rest if history so to speak.
Followed 2 years of a mix of theory and practical lessons for bass together with practise in band(s). Started out perfecting my technique playing covers by different artists and styles beforing creating my own style: low, deep, hard but above all melodic and suiting to the song. I got a job opening in the thrash-deathmetal band Poseydon which later switched names to Everglow, the band I'm still in.
A short while ago, the former guitarplayer of Poseydon told us he wanted to revive Poseydon and asked me if I wanted to play the bass in that band too... Since I still kinda knew the songs I couldn't do but accepting.
Poseydon is still standing strong, but I'm not in it anymore. I couldn't found myself anymore in the musical turn they took, so I left Poseydon with nothing than fond feelings of comraderie and friendship.
Although I'm not that good in bass-playing (no false-modesty) I'm actually asked to join several bands on a regular base.
For the moment I'm in the backing band for Tommy Waters (www.tommywaters.be - a melancholic rocker) and My Cunning Plan (www.mycunningplan.be - to be released soon - some old school hard rock, metal with more than a strange twist to it.)

On this moment:
Pink Floyd: Pulse (Live @ Earl's Court in '94)
Everglow: Turn Back Time
Metallica: St.-Anger

Personal highlight: Playing in a full tent with Everglow
Strangest experience: Dreaming things that happen some time later.
Worst nightmare with Everglow: Not being able to play the bass anymore.
Worst nightmare in general: Something bad would happen to my family when I'm away, and couldn't do anything.
Favorite song:
Pink Floyd - Sorrow
Ayreon - Beneath The Waves
Favorite drink: Ice Tea, Cuba Libre (thanks Guy!!), Mojito, the occasional Hoegaarden (a white, mostly unfiltered beer)

Favorite TV show: Mostly 80'ies and 90'ies show: Airwolf and Seaquest DSV, MacGyver. The contemporary series are just bollocks.
Dumbest question you have ever been asked: In a room full of empty, non-assigned chairs: Which chair can I take... (I died)
