| Guitar sensation Flash Bathory began strumming at age 13, rapidly picking up techniques without any formal training including sweeping arpeggios, 8-finger tapping and slide guitar.By 16, her passion led to lessons with virtuoso Mike Guerrero (Deathriders, Hellion, Carmine Appice), helping to refine her raw talent into a speedy, precise hybrid of neoclassical metal leads (ala Randy Rhoads) and agressive punk pulsings in the vein of The Misfits.Flash was first endorsed at age 15 by Minarik Guitars, followed by Tregan Guitars, Coffin Case, Luna Guitars and AXL. In ’02, ’03 and ’06 she hit the road for Warped Tour playing her own solo set, as well as guest spots for New Found Glory, Sugarcult, Vendetta Red and many others. At 18 Flash has completed her first EP of original compositions, “Scars and Bruises.”..

Sounds Like: "If you're into shredders and the like and are looking for something new, here you go. This is shreddin' neat; served straight, no lyrics. How I prefer it. On her first EP "Scars and Bruises," Flash Bathory meshes well with bassist Bredon Bigelow and drummer Pat Doyle. Precision among speed and fervor are introduced with a roller coaster called "Exit" and continues with the screeching and hammering of "Here Comes The Banshee." If you want a sample, "Running Red Lights" can be found streaming in various forms across the net. The title isn't the only thing that denotes an accelerated, rebellious movement. It has the momentum and jump that's perfect for speeding and weaving in and out of traffic; filled with screeching twists and squealing turns backed by a swaying beat. With a darkened, heavy crawl of an intro, strings, finger, and drums emanate a raging glow by "Hot Point," perhaps my favorite of the six tracks.** All that mean tearing around and in blows the "Crimson Wind," a slow(er) melody with a beautiful, rich tone; followed by a change-up with the sliding groove of "Let's Transcend" in which Flash is backed by fuzzy techno beat. All technically aggressive, yet playful in certain manners, it makes you want to beat down the walls. The big surprise? She's only 18..." -Patty Lovecakes, Whoopsy!
