Drive. Ambition. Talent. Dreams. Love. Blood. Sweat. Tears...Crucial ingredients
with intentions of incredible success, unfortunately and inevitably end in the unaccomplished. Amongst a million, Dreams Like Fire thrived with an exciting live show and groundbreaking new music that fused true old school heavy metal riffs with catchy hooks. A product of an undying roster of influences such as Incubus, Tool, Rx bandits, Metallica, and Pantera to name a few. "The idea from the beginning was the formation of a kind of 'super group'. The collaboration of the best musicians we could find. Almost a science experiment as far as influences are concerned, when you consider how different we all were." Dreams Like Fire was a living being. Constantly taking in new idea's and new contributors to ultimate goal. Filtering through a few drummers and a couple of bass players, the seemingly winning combination was at hand with Ryan Moody, Anthony Sosa, Dathan Martin, Alan Mabe, and Kyle Istook. It was agreed by many bystanders and by DLF themselves that the end combination was the right one. With the final addition of Sosa on bass, the writing style and overall sound of the band changed yet again for the better and unfortunately will never be released to the public. Through three years of ups and downs, the final five intend to stay in contact with each other. All individually creative, the fans can definitely expect to hear new efforts from each of the last of Dreams Like Fire. Kyle Istook (vocalist) is playing with Belle Epoque (myspace.com/wearebelleepoque). Anthony Sosa (bass) continues with his original project The Raven Charter (myspace.com/theravencharter) . Dathan Martin (guitar and vocals) is currently in the studio writing all original music (www.myspace.com/returnthegiftrock). Ryan Moody (drums) and Alan Mabe (guitar and vocals) have decided to pursue a new project together and are currently in the studio writing the dawn of a new era in Austin, Texas (www.myspace.com/theseventytwos). Above all, collectively the guys loved their fans. All of the DLF supporters were right there through all of the changes and are considered by the boys just as much a part of the project as they were. "We thank everyone who helped spread the word and supported us in the many ways available. We hope you'll follow up on our individual efforts so we're able to establish new relationships. We love you all and can't thank you enough!!"
